PAW 12 - Protest portrait
This week's PAW image comes from a protest against the occupation of Iraq held in Chicago this weekend. Personally, I think protests are useless - they are overplayed and have little to no effect except to help solidify the opposite opinion. I went though to get some photos and it occured to me that I should to take portraits of some of the variety of people who are concerned about the direction their country has gone. To me the up-close and personal photo is way more powerful than a bunch of kids yelling stupid things at the police.
If you liked this week's shot I put together
a set of some of the other similar shots I took.
Enjoy.
